Drumlassie Rescue Centre is a privately run, small rescue centre for abandoned, unwanted and stray animals. In the short time the Centre has been running, we have rescued rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, hens, ducks, geese, lambs and even a cow!   Daisy, the cow, is in calf and this wee one should be born at the beginning of 2009.

From time to time, we have animals for rehoming, but these will always be put on the "Homes Wanted" page. As the Centre is part of a working farm, we cannot allow casual visitors for reasons of animal health and safety. However, enquiries are always welcome.

Up to now we have not made a charge for the animals we have rehomed, relying on the generosity of the new owner. However, as most people just say "thank you" we are having to put a price on the (mainly) cats we rehome.  We request a minimum of £20 and this is a small price, considering we may have fed the animal for several months, plus any veterinary care it may have needed.  We have NO income other than that which we raise ourselves from car boot sales  and sales on Ebay.

TEENIE is a winner!  She won a blue rosette at Banchory Agricultural Show in the Pet Lamb section.  Congratulations to Teenie.

We are getting more and more rabbits, the latest being Shrek and Sparky, two lovely lionheads.  We don't rehome any of our rabbits or guinea pigs as we prefer to make sure they have a permanent home.
